baskets for petal-ing

Flower girl baskets

There’s no denying that flowergirls give weddings that “aww” factor. The frilly dresses, the flower petals, those cute little-girl smiles – is there anything cuter?!

The traditional flowergirl will usually carry her coveted petals in a classic white silk basket, which are lovely (I opted for something like this at my wedding). They come with pretty detailing like bows, pearls, and crystals.

But there are also many different, creative types of holders, so you don’t have to confine yourself to just one standard model.

Baskets in various hues are a nice way to tie in the accent colours of your bridesmaid dresses or bouquets. Holders with organic accents, such as dried flowers or moss, add an earthy touch. I personally love baskets with adornments like charms, ribbons or silk roses.

You may be the “big” princess of the day, but you can also spoil your “little” princess with a lovely unique flowergirl basket.
