I don’t know what it is about those little courtesy baskets couples leave in the bathrooms at weddings, but I love them! It’s so fun rummaging through them to check out all the miscellaneous odds and ends, and usually, they’re displayed in such a pretty way. Every bride wants their wedding to be “unique,” which is a tricky feat given the endless ideas that are out there. But I say the way to separate your special day from the pack: it’s all about the details.

My husband and I didn’t have a sweetheart table at our wedding. Instead (and to make my life easier with the seating arrangements) we left 1-2 spots open at most of the guests tables and, since we had a buffet meal, the two of us took turns moving around the room and sitting with different sets of family and friends. But I have attended a lot of weddings where they have had beautiful sweetheart tables set up for the bride and groom, and it made me wonder what other creative ideas were out there for these special settings.

There’s no denying that flowergirls give weddings that “aww” factor. The frilly dresses, the flower petals, those cute little-girl smiles – is there anything cuter?! The traditional flowergirl will usually carry her coveted petals in a classic white silk basket, which are lovely (I opted for something like this at my wedding).
