love at first sight

Hello, hello!

I’ve been dying to blog for a while, but things have been so hectic here at the office that I haven’t been quite able to do so. We are planning some great weddings for this summer, and I promise that I will keep you posted as they come.

But here’s another thing I like to keep you posted about: Booking super duper cool brides. A few weeks ago, I went for coffee with a photographer. Now, this was a simple “let’s meet” kind of meeting. But, as it turns out, the miss was engaged, and one thing led to another… And you guessed it, I will be planning her wedding!

Annalie and I clicked almost instantaneously. Speaking for myself, it was love at first sight. She is funny, kind, and generally very pleasant to be around. As it turns out, her fiance and I also went to the same high school years ago. But what has me most excited about working with her is the kind of wedding she’s planning.

Most of the weddings we plan and coordinate are pretty big productions. There is tons of light, and flowers, and many, many vendors involved in creating something spectacular. On the other hand, Annalie and her fiance are planning a quaint, intimate, romantic little affair. No fuss, no muss. Tons of candles, soft pastels, hanging bunting and lanterns… Mmm, I’m getting all excited just thinking about it!

We are still months away from her wedding, but in the meantime, I thought I’d share with you her inspiration board.
