Hello! So, you got the rock on your finger, the man by your side, and every detail of your wedding down and under control. You’ve even got a pro {i.e. a wedding planner} standing by your side to make sure the big day goes down smoothly. Think you’re covered, right? Think again. I have nearly 70 weddings under my belt, but as I count down the days to my 2011 season opening, I still find myself telling my brides: “97% is planned, 3% is entirely up to chance”.

Hello, hello, Today being the yucky, mucky, rainy Friday afternoon that it is, I thought it was as good a time as ever for some reflection. Working as a wedding planner / planning your own wedding requires so much attention to detail, we spend most of our days drowned in color swatches, floor plans, and perfect shades of vintage pink. And therefore we sometimes forget to look at the big picture: a wedding is all about the love, and everything else is just icing on the {wedding} cake.
