wishing well

While guest books make for beautiful keepsakes, so, too, do creative alternatives. A wishing tree is a popular trend where guests are invited to write a message to the new couple on a tag (or leaf, etc.) and hang it on a tree. It’s a relatively simple project to put together – just find pretty branches that you can anchor in a sturdy vase or planting container. Cut tags out of vintage wallpaper samples or fancy papery and leave several pens for guests to write with.

Some couples go for something with a little more character – I personally love the clothesline ideas below. You can also fashion small cards that guests can write advice or well wishes on.

You’ll be pulled in a million directions on your wedding day, so it’s a nice touch to offer guests a way to leave a few words of wisdom for the newlyweds.
